Verifying the report server is started

To verify that the BMC Reporting Foundation servers are started on Windows

  1. On the computer where the server is installed, select Start > Settings > Control Panel.
  2. In the Control Panel, select Administrative Tools.
  3. In the Administrative Tools panel, select Services.
  4. Verify that the following service has started:
    Server Intelligence Agent

To verify that the BMC Reporting Foundation servers are started on Solaris

On the computer where the server is installed, at the command prompt, type the following command
$ ps -aef|grep boe

The computer must show the following processes:

  • boe_crcached.bin
  • boe_crprocd.bin
  • boe_filesd
  • boe_xcprocd
  • boe_xccached
  • boe_crystalrasd
  • boe_eventsd
  • boe_crystalrasd.bin
  • boe_jobsd
  • boe_filesd
  • boe_crprocd
  • boe_crprocd.bin
  • boe_crystalras
  • boe_crprocd.bin
  • boe_cmsd
