Starting the BusinessObjects Enterprise servers manually

The ccm.sh script provides you with a command-line interface to the various BusinessObjects Enterprise server components. In BusinessObjects Enterprise 4.0 SP4, the installation setup program starts and enables servers automatically.

To manually start and enable the servers

  1. Navigate to the install_directory/sap_bobj directory that was created by the installation.
  2. Start all of the BusinessObjects Enterprise servers as daemons: $ccm.sh -start all -username <username> -password <password>
  3. Enable all the BusinessObjects Enterprise servers:
    • If you are using the default ports for the CMS, use the following command to start:

      $ccm.sh -enable all-username <username> -password <password>
    • If you are using a different port number for the CMS, type the following command:

servername : portnumber ./ccm.sh -enable all -cms
The daemons are now listening on the appropriate ports.
