About web servers

The Reporting server relies on a third-party web server as its web application infrastructure. Apache can be used as the web server for a Windows installation. You choose the web server that you want to use during the installation process.

If you use Apache, there is no prerequisite action because Apache is installed at the same time as BMC Reporting Foundation.
