Using an xterm to Install BMC Reporting Foundation

The installation requires a valid initialized X session.

X-Windows must be installed on the system where the installer is run. Use any Sun-supported X-Windows server that supports Motif, such as dtwm, twm, and olwm.

If you use an xterm to install BMC Reporting Foundation, you must initialize the display using another X Windows application such as xclock prior to starting the install.

The locale must be set to en_US using LC_CTYPE.

For csh, at the command prompt, type

setenv LC_CTYPE en_US

For ksh or sh, at the command prompt, type

LC_CTYPE="en_US" export LC_CTYPE

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
