Installing SAP BusinessObjects 4.0 SP4 Patch 1

Use the following procedure to install the SAP BusinessObjects 4.0 SP4 Patch 1.

  1. From the files you downloaded from the BMC EPD site, select and decompress BRF_SOL_SERVER_40_SP4_PATCH1.tar.
  2. Navigate to <Install dir>\image and run setup.sh file to start the installation.
  3. After the prerequisite check is complete, select the Succeeded:Minimum support package version (Critical) option and press Enter.
  4. On the Welcome screen, select the Maintenance Package: Service Pack 4 for 4.0 and press Enter.
  5. On the License Agreement screen, read the license agreement, and press Enter to accept.
  6. If the patch includes server components, the Existing CMS Deployment Information screen is displayed. Type the CMS Name, CMS Port Number, and Administrator Password for your deployment's CMS, and press Enter to continue.
  7. On the Start Installation screen, press Enter if you are ready to begin the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform 4.0 SP4 Patch 1 Installation Wizard.
  8. Press Enter to exit the installation, after the installation is complete.
