Uninstalling BMC Reporting Foundation on Windows

To uninstall BMC Reporting Foundation, use the Microsoft Windows uninstallation utility as described in this section.

Before you begin

  • Uninstall all BMC reporting solution sets before you uninstall BMC Reporting Foundation.
  • If you want to save the reports and system information, make a copy of the root directories used by the Input and Output File Repository Servers and back up the CMS database.

  To uninstall BMC Reporting Foundation from a Windows computer

  1. Use the Central Management Console (CMC) to select all of the BMC Reporting Foundation servers, right-click the selected servers, and select Stop.
  2. Select Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
  3. On the Add or Remove programs window, select the following individually, and then select the Change or Remove Programs button.Click Change/Remove to launch the installation utility in uninstall mode.

      • SAP BusinessObjects BI platform 4.1 SP3 Patch 3 update
      • SAP BusinessObjects BI platform 4.1 SP3
      • SAP BusinessObjects BI platform 4.1 Client Tools SP3 Patch 3 update
      • SAP BusinessObjects BI platform 4.1 Client Tools SP3
  4. The Welcome page is displayed.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Select the product(s) that you want to uninstall, and click Next.

  7. Review your selections, and click Next.

    After the uninstallation is complete, a summary page is displayed that tells you whether the uninstallation was successful.

  8. Click Finish to exit the program.
  9. Delete the install_directory manually.
