Installing BMC Reporting Foundation Client Tools only


Use the following procedure to install only the BMC Reporting Foundation Client Tools components on a computer.

Before you begin

  • The computer must meet the system requirements. See System-requirements-and-product-compatibility for more information.
  • You must be logged on as a member of the Administrators group.
  • Do not specify a path that contains spaces, dollar ($) symbols, or percent (%) symbols (similar to what you added for server installation).

To install the BMC Reporting Foundation Client Tools components

  1. From the files you downloaded from the BMC EPD site, select and decompress BRF_WIN_CLIENT_41_SP3_FULL.zip.
  2. Navigate to <Installer_location> and run setup.exe to start the installation.
  3. Select English as the setup language, and click OK.
  4. Review the prerequisite check page, and click Next.
  5. On the Welcome page, click Next to continue.
  6. On the license agreement page, read the license agreement, and select the I accept the License Agreement option, and click Next.
  7. On the Choose Language Packs page, select English, and click Next.
  8. On the Specify Destination folder page, enter the path or browse to the location where the product is to be installed, and click Next.
  9. On the Select Features page, click Next.
  10. On the Start Installation page, click Next.
  11. When the installation has completed, click Finish to close the installation utility.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
