Navigating Smart Reporting
Navigation styles
As an administrator, you can define the navigation style by using the Admin Console. The following navigation styles are available in Smart Reporting:
Navigation | How it looks | Description |

Left Side Navigation (the default) |
| You can access the main system areas from the collapsible panel on the upper-left corner of the page. |
Toolbar Navigation |
| You can access the main system areas from the toolbar at the top of the page. |
Navigation components
Depending on your role, you will view different options in the system navigation. The following table lists the options and menus you might see.
Option or Menu | Description |

Search option | Helps you locate content (such as reports, dashboards, and storyboards) and results, which are displayed on the Browse page. Depending on how your installation is set up, the Search option is located at one of the following locations:

Create menu | Offers access to the content builders so that you can create reports, dashboards, and more. The menu options available are restricted by your role permissions, which an administrator assigns. The location of Create menu depends on the navigation style settings. If you use left-side navigation, you can position the Content Creation function within the left-navigation panel or as a button on the main navigation bar. If you use the toolbar navigation, the Create link is one of the standard toolbar items. |
loginName menu | Includes the following options to help you find your content:

Dashboards menu | Offers access to dashboards. You can add new dashboards. |
People menu | Offers access to users to whom you are connected and their timelines. You can add new connections. |
Browse menu | Offers access to a list of reports, dashboards, storyboards, and discussion streams. |
Streams menu | Offers access to discussion streams and add a stream. |
Administration menu | Offers access to the most commonly used Administration features. This menu is available only for an administrator. |
