Managing scheduled broadcast tasks


You can use the schedule list to search, view, edit, pause, run, and delete scheduled tasks. You can also view the history of previous executions of a scheduled task for the last 30 days to see if the tasks were executed successfully or failed. 

To edit, pause, delete, or run a scheduled task

  1. In Smart Reporting, select Administration > Admin Console > Schedule Management.
  2. For a task, click Expand (ExpandIcon.png).
  3. Depending on the action that you want to perform, click either of the following buttons:
    • Edit
    • Pause
    • Delete
    • Run now
  4. Click Save.

Note

If you want to delete a user from BMC Helix ITSM: Smart Reporting, and if the user has scheduled broadcast tasks, first change the ownership of the public broadcasts and manually delete this user from BMC Helix ITSM: Smart Reporting. For more information, see What the User Sync Utility does not automatically change.


To view the history of scheduled tasks

  1. In Smart Reporting, select Administration > Admin Console > Schedule Management.
  2. Click History.
    The History window displays the executions carried out in the last 30 days. For content delivering tasks such as broadcast reports, a list of recipients is maintained for each execution. You can use this list to track which users received the content successfully. If the content delivery failed for any user, you can also view the error message for the failed delivery.

    Important

    Tasks executions before Smart Reporting version 20.08 will not be shown on the history page.
