Kubernetes dashboard


The dashboard on Kubernetes displays the following information:

  • Log count statistics for log sources in Kubernetes
  • Log count by node name, namespace, and services
  • Top five nodes and services by log count
  • Log count by service and node names

To view the dashboard

  1. On the left navigation pane, hover over the Dashboards icon Manage_icon.jpg and click Browse.
  2. Click the Log Analytics folder and then click Kubernetes.

    Tip: Quick access from the home page

    To quickly open the dashboard from the home page, mark it as a favorite by using the star icon. Additionally, after you open a dashboard, it is available under Recently viewed dashboards on the home page.

Panels in the Kubernetes dashboard

The following table describes the panels in the Kubernetes logs dashboard:

Dashboard filters

Displays the following filters to view the information on the dashboard:

  • Total log count
  • Number of pods
  • Number of services
  • Number of namespaces

By default, the dashboard displays the data for the last 30 days. You can filter the data by using the time range global filter.

Log count statistics

Displays sources in a Kubernetes cluster from where logs are being collected:

  • Total log count
  • Number of pods
  • Number of nodes
  • Number of services
  • Number of namespaces

Log count by service name

Displays log count for an integration or service that you setup to collect logs from a Kubernetes cluster.

Displays log count for nodes in the Kubernetes nodes from where logs are being collected.

Displays log count for the Kubernetes namespace from where logs are being collected.

Top 5 nodes by log count

Displays the top 5 nodes by log count from where you are collecting logs.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
