Integrating
BMC Helix Dashboards supports integration with BMC Helix applications through various data sources, enabling data collection, visualization, and analysis via dashboards. When creating dashboards, use these data sources to construct queries for retrieving data from BMC Helix applications.
The following data sources are available:
- (out-of-the-box) BMC Helix: Use to retrieve events, metrics, logs, continuous optimization, service management, vulnerability, audit, and BMC Helix ITSM insights data from BMC Helix applications. This is the default data source.
- (out-of-the-box) BMC Helix API: Use to retrieve data via API endpoints. It is suitable for services not supported by the default data source. For information about using this data source, see Using the BMC Helix API data source.
- Helix CSV: Use to import data from CSV files. If you need this data source, contact BMC Helix Support. To configure this data source in your on-premises instance, see Configuring the Helix CSV data source plug-in.
BMC Helix Dashboards also supports the following data sources offered by Grafana:
- Azure Monitor
- AWS CloudWatch
- InfluxDB
- Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)
- MySQL
- PostgreSQL
For configuration assistance, contact BMC Helix Support or refer to the Grafana documentation for configuring these data sources in your on-premises instance.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
