BMC Helix ITSM Open Change Analysis dashboard


As a Change Manager, use the Open Change Analysis dashboard to view all the open change requests logged in your organization and analyze their trends.

The dashboard displays information about the open change requests, such as change submission trends, change analysis by the coordinator support company, changes by class type, and so on.

The Change Manager can use this information to review the open change requests and take the appropriate actions to resolve them.

Example: View and analyze open change requests

Carol, a Change Manager, wants to view and analyze all the open change requests and their trends. Carol uses the Open Change Analysis dashboard to view the metrics of all the open change tickets. Carol uses the filters available to sort data based on company, coordinator group, priority, and status. This data helps Carol view and analyze all the change requests that are open for a selected time range, take required actions to address them, and close the requests in a timely manner.

By using this dashboard, Carol can monitor and manage open change requests.

To view the dashboard

  1. From the navigation menumenu_icon.png, click Dashboards.
  2. Click the Helix ITSM folder and then click Open Change Analysis.

    Tip

    To quickly open the dashboard from the home page, mark it as a favorite by using the star icon. Additionally, after you open a dashboard, it is available under Recently viewed dashboards on the home page.

Hover over a bar on the graph to view the details.

Displays the changes submitted by assigned support companies.

Click a bar in the graph to view the detailed report based on the assignee support company and change request status.

Changes scheduled with future date

Displays the count of upcoming changes based on the selected time period.

Displays the open changes based on class request status.

Click a bar in the graph to drill down to the Change Detail Report.
