A view is a metadata layer that connects to a data source. By using the view, you create SQL queries to fetch data from the BMC Helix ITSM database. You can create a custom view or copy an existing out-of-the-box view and customize it. The view defines relationships between tables and identifies the database fields required for creating SQL queries for the Service Management query type. As a BMC Helix Dashboards user, create a SQL query based on this view in the visual query builder.
