Installing and configuring a load balancer

The clustered BMC Atrium DIL and BMC Dashboards for BSM application server components require a load balancer. If you don't already have a load balancer installed and configured in your environment, you must install and configure one.

Each component requires a separate load balancer, and the load balancers must be installed on separate subnets.

Follow the installation and configuration instructions provided by the load balancer manufacturer of your choice.

BMC has tested BMC Dashboards for BSM with Apache HTTP Server (httpd). For more information, see Configuring-Apache-HTTP-Server-httpd-as-the-load-balancer-for-BMC-Dashboards-for-BSM.
