Selecting Microsoft SQL Server Windows Authentication as a data source for BMC Remedy AR System


This section explains procedures to allow Microsoft SQL Server Windows authentication as a data source for BMC Remedy AR System.

Prerequisite

To use Microsoft SQL Server Windows Authentication as a data source for BMC Remedy AR System, ensure that BMC Atrium DIL Server is running with Windows authentication credentials. For more information, see Configure how a service is started.

Allowing Microsoft SQL Server Windows Authentication as a data source for BMC Remedy AR System

You can select Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or Microsoft SQL 2012 Windows Authentication as a data source for BMC Remedy AR System:

  1. Go to the Admin Console for BMC Dashboards for BSM and on the BMC Dashboards for BSM Login screen, enter your administrator login ID and password.
  2. Click Login.
  3. Go to Data Source Configuration > BMC Remedy AR System Server and click the Connection tab.
  4. For the Database Type field, select either Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Windows Authentication or Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Windows Authentication from the drop-down menu.
  5. Fill in the required information for the remaining fields and click Save.
