Control-M for AWS Lambda
AWS Lambda is a cloud compute service that enables you to execute code in multiple computer languages on a virtual cluster.
Control-M for AWS Lambda enables you to do the following:
- Execute AWS Lambda jobs that run specified versions of predefined Lambda functions.
- Manage AWS Lambda credentials in a secure connection profile.
- Connect to any AWS Lambda endpoint.
- Integrate AWS Lambda jobs with other Control-M jobs into a single scheduling environment.
- Introduce all Control-M capabilities to Control-M for AWS Lambda, including advanced scheduling criteria, complex dependencies, Resource Pools, Lock Resources, and variables.
- Monitor the job status, results, and output of AWS Lambda jobs.
- Attach an SLA job to the AWS Lambda jobs.
Control-M for AWS Lambda Compatibility
The following table lists the prerequisites that are required to use the AWS Lambda plug-in, each with its minimum required version.

Setting up Control-M for AWS Lambda
This procedure describes how to deploy the AWS Lambda plug-in, create a connection profile, and define an AWS Lambda job in Control-M Web and Automation API.
Before You Begin
Verify that Automation API is installed, as described in Automation API Installation.
Begin
- Create a temporary directory to save the downloaded files.
- Download the AWS Lambda plug-in from the Control-M for AWS Lambda download page on the EPD site.
- Install the AWS Lambda plug-in using the Automation API Provision service:
- Log in to the Control-M/EM Server machine as an Administrator and store the downloaded zip file in the one of the following locations (within several minutes, the job type appears in Control-M Web):
- Linux: $HOME/ctm_em/AUTO_DEPLOY
- Windows: <EM_HOME>\AUTO_DEPLOY
- Log in to the Control-M/Agent machine and run the provision image command, as follows:
- Linux: ctm provision image AWS_Lambda_plugin.Linux
- Windows: ctm provision image AWS_Lambda_plugin.Windows
- Log in to the Control-M/EM Server machine as an Administrator and store the downloaded zip file in the one of the following locations (within several minutes, the job type appears in Control-M Web):
- Create an AWS Lambda connection profile in Control-M Web or Automation API, as follows:
- Define an AWS Lambda job in Control-M Web or Automation API, as follows:
- Web: Creating a Job with AWS Lambda Job Parameters
- Automation API: Job:AWS Lambda
