Installing Control-M for Airflow Patch PAKD1.9.0.21.001 on UNIX

This procedure describes how to install Control-M for Airflow Patch PAKD1.9.0.21.001 on UNIX.

Before You Begin

  • Verify that Control-M for Airflow 9.0.21 is installed.
  • Verify that Control-M jobs are not running on the Agent.

Begin

  1. Download the installation package from the Patches tab at Control-M for Airflow.
  2. Log in to the Agent account where Control-M for Airflow is installed, and copy the installation package to a temporary directory on your local hard drive (not a network drive).
  3. Stop the Control-M/Agent by typing the following command:
    shut-ag
  4. Navigate to the temporary folder where you downloaded the patch.
  5. Run the following command:
    PAKD1.9.0.21.001_Linux-x86_64_INSTALL.BIN
  6. To configure Control-M for Airflow to work with Google Composer 2, add the following parameter to the AgentDir/data/AFL.dat file:
    COMPOSER_VERSION 2

    Important

    To revert to Google Composer 1, change this parameter back to COMPOSER_VERSION 1.

  7. Start the Control-M/Agent by typing the following command:
    start-ag

This procedure describes how to install Control-M for Airflow Patch PAKD1.9.0.21.001 on Windows.

Before You Begin

  • Verify that Control-M for Airflow 9.0.21 is installed.
  • Verify that Control-M jobs are not running on the Agent.

Begin

  1. Download the installation package from the Patches tab at Control-M for Airflow.
  2. Log in to the Agent account where Control-M for Airflow is installed, and copy the installation package to a temporary directory on your local hard drive (not a network drive).
  3. Stop the Control-M/Agent in Windows Services.
  4. From the Task Manager, stop the Control-M/Agent p_ctmam.exe process.
  5. Stop the Control-M for Airflow container by typing the following command:
    <Agent home dir>\cm\AFT\exe\cm_container stop
  6. Run the following command
    PAKD1.9.0.21.001_windows_x86_64.exe.

    Important

    If User Account Control (UAC) is enabled, you must run the executable as an administrator.

  7. To configure Control-M for Airflow to work with Google Composer 2, add the following parameter to the AgentDir/data/AFL.dat file:
    COMPOSER_VERSION 2

    To revert to Google Composer 1, change this parameter back to COMPOSER_VERSION 1.

  8. Start the Control-M/Agent in Windows Services.

  2. Stop the Control-M/Agent by typing the following command:
    shut-ag
  3. Run the following command:
    /<Agent folder>/ctm/patches/PAKD1.9.0.21.001/unInstall_PAKD1.9.0.21.001.sh
  4. Start the Control-M/Agent by typing the following command:
    start-ag

This procedure describes how to uninstall Control-M for Airflow Patch PAKD1.9.0.21.001 from Windows.

Before You Begin

  • Verify that Control-M jobs are not running on the Agent.

Begin

  1. Log in to the Agent account where Control-M for Airflow is installed.
  2. Stop the Control-M/Agent in Windows Services.
  3. From the Task Manager, verify that the Agent AM process (p_ctmam.exe) is not running. If it is running, end the process.
  4. From the Control Panel, select Program and Features.
  5. Select CONTROL-M for Airflow 9.0.21.001 and click Uninstall.
  6. Start the Control-M/Agent in Windows Services.
