Installing Control-M/Server Patch PACTV.9.0.21.206 on AIX

This procedure describes how to install Control-M/Server patch PACTV.9.0.21.206 on AIX.

Before You Begin

  • Verify that Control-M/Server 9.0.21.200 and PACTV.9.0.21.204 are installed before you install this patch.

Begin

  1. Log in to the account where Control-M/Server is installed.
  2. Download the installation package from Control-M/Server 9.0.21 Patches.
  3. Copy the patch installation file that you obtained into a temporary directory.
  4. From the temporary directory, run the following command to extract the patch installation file:
    gunzip -c PACTV.9.0.21.206.tar.gz | tar xvf -
  5. Navigate to the Control-M/Server home directory.
  6. Run the following commands to shut down Control-M/Server and the Control-M/Server Configuration Agent:
    • shut_ca
    • shut_ctm
  7. Run the following command:
    <Temporary_Directory>/install_patch.sh
  8. Run the following commands to start up Control-M/Server and the Control-M/Server Configuration Agent:
    • start_ctm
    • start_ca

Uninstalling Control-M/Server Patch PACTV.9.0.21.206 from AIX

This procedure describes how to uninstall Control-M/Server patch PACTV.9.0.21.206 from AIX. 

Begin

  1. Log in to the account where Control-M/Server is installed and navigate to the Control-M/Server home directory.
  2. Run the following commands to shut down Control-M/Server and the Control-M/Server Configuration Agent:
    • shut_ca
    • shut_ctm
  3. Run the following command:

    ${HOME}/patches/PACTV.9.0.21.206/uninstall_patch.sh

  4. Run the following commands to start up Control-M/Server and the Control-M/Server Configuration Agent:
    • start_ctm
    • start_ca
