BMC Software is releasing Control-M/EM patch PANFT.9.0.21.002, which corrects the following problems in Control-M/EM and Control-M Web on UNIX and Windows.

Verify that Control-M/EM 9.0.21.200 and PANFT.9.0.21.201 are installed before you install this patch. This patch is cumulative. You do not need to install previous patches.

Security vulnerability CVE-2022-42889 detected in a library used by Control-M/EM services.

CTM-7431

If you run an ad hoc job in a folder that contains more than 10 jobs, a different job from the same folder might be run. This occurs if Control-M/EM and Control-M/Server are both version 9.0.21.

CTM-7430

Permissions for the following actions on services in the Monitoring domain are not enforced correctly:

  • Drill-Down
  • Run 
  • Hold
  • Resume
  • View orderable services that were started by other users

Usage report data might not be collected by the Configuration Management Server (CMS).

Days in a periodic calendar or regular calendar are incorrect or are shifted by one day when you use the recurrence option to mark weekdays and the language in the browser is not US English.

The tree in the navigation pane of a viewpoint in Control-M Web is displayed with incorrect hierarchy when you open a viewpoint with non-default grouping and grouping is turned on.

Before You Begin

  • Verify that Control-M/EM version 9.0.21.000 is installed. 

Begin

  1. Download the installation package from Control-M/EM 9.0.21 Patches.
  2. Log in to the account where Control-M/EM is installed, copy the installation package to a temporary directory on your local hard drive (not a network drive), and then extract the package.
  3. Copy the patch installation file that you obtained into a temporary directory.
  4. Run the following command to set execution flags for the patch installation file:
    chmod +x PANFT.9.0.21.001_<platform>_INSTALL.BIN
  5. Run the following script from the Control-M/EM Home directory:
    <temporary directory>/PANFT.9.0.21.001_<platform>_INSTALL.BIN
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions until the installation is complete.
