Application Integrator

The following is a list of enhancements that are now available in Application Integrator:

  • Extract to Output: You can now extract and include additional configurable text directly in the job output, which eliminates the need to extract data to a run-time parameter. Furthermore, you can set prefix or suffix text that is also printed to the job output. This change applies to all step types (regular step, pre-execution, post-execution, sub steps) and interfaces (REST, SOAP, CLI) wherever there is an option to keep extracted data in a runtime parameter.
  • Iterations over Job Steps: You can now define iterations over job steps, which enhances efficiency for repetitive actions in your custom job definitions within your automation processes. You can achieve this by setting predefined occurrences or dynamic parameters, This feature is available for all step types including CLI, REST, and SOAP.
  • Alibaba Cloud Authentication: Application Integrator now supports Alibaba Cloud authentication, which integrates your workflows with Alibaba Cloud services.
  • OCI Authentication: Application Integrator now supports OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) authentication, which integrates your workflows with Oracle Cloud services.

For more information, see Plug-in Development.

Control-M for Kubernetes

Control-M for Kubernetes enables you to run pods to completion in a Kubernetes cluster. This enables you to integrate Control-M capabilities, such as advanced scheduling criteria, status monitoring, and SLA management. Supported Kubernetes-based clusters include RedHat OpenShift and public cloud platforms, such as Amazon EKS and Microsoft AKS. For more information, see Control-M for Kubernetes.

Control-M Integrations

Automation API

Automation API now supports  the following:

  • The new run ondemand API command enables you to execute jobs immediately, without deploying them to the Control-M/EM database and without requiring the User Daily job in Control-M to trigger them. This approach can be useful for event-driven job executions.

This API command replaces the use of the ctmcreate utility.

  • Control-M Python client is now available in PyPI. The latest version of the python client is available for installation by running pip install ctm-python-client.
