Control-M for Communication Suite: Microsoft Teams Webhook Connector Replacement

BMC is alerting you that Microsoft is retiring Office 365 Connectors, including Incoming Webhook, in Microsoft Teams as early as December 31,2025, as announced in Retirement of Office 365 connectors within Microsoft Teams. Control-M for Communication Suite jobs that utilize webhooks to post job status, alerts, and notifications into Microsoft Teams channels might fail. 

To avoid this issue, BMC recommends that you update the Microsoft Teams Webhook URL connection profile parameter and the Teams Parameters job parameter, as described in Communication Suite Connection Profile Parameters and Communication Suite Job, in the Control-M for Communication Suite jobs that connect with Microsoft Teams. These parameters now implement Microsoft Workflows, which replace Office 365 Connectors.

This ensures that jobs can continue to interface with Microsoft Teams even after Webhooks are retired, and that the relevant Communication Suite jobs continue to run as expected.
