Control-M/EM Presets in Find, Update, and Viewpoints

Control-M/EM 9.0.20, 9.0.21.xxx, and 9.0.22.00x
BMC is alerting you that the Find, Update, and Viewpoint presets are deleted, by default, after 60 days. Find and Update presets enable you to save search and update criteria for later use, as described in Finding Jobs and Updating Jobs. Viewpoint presets enable you to save a set of user-defined filters and apply them to public viewpoints, as described in Creating a Filter Preset.
The following procedures describe how to permanently save these presets:

Saving Presets Permanently via Control-M Web
This procedure describes how to permanently save Find and Update and Viewpoints presets via Control-M Web.
Before You Begin
- Verify that Control-M/EM 9.0.22 is installed.
Begin
- From the
icon, select Configuration.
The Configuration domain opens. - From the
drop-down list, select Control-M/EM.
The Control-M/EM tab appears. - From the Control-M/EM tab, select System Parameters.
The Control-M/EM System Parameters tab appears. - Click Add Parameter.
The Add System Parameter dialog box appears. - Define a new RecentItemsCleanupIntervalMin Control-M/EM system parameter with the following values:
- Category: general
- Name: RecentItemsCleanupIntervalMin
- Value: 0
- Component Type: CMS
- Component Name: *
- Component Host: *
The Add System Parameter dialog box appears as follows:
- Verify that the RecentItemsCleanupIntervalMin appears in the Control-M/EM system parameters table.
- Recycle the CMS, as described in Recycling a Control-M/EM Component.
Saving Presets Permanently via CCM
This procedure describes how to permanently save Find and Update and Viewpoints presets via CCM.
Begin
- From the components tree, select the required Control-M/EM.
- From the Home tab, click System Parameters.
The Control-M/EM - System Parameters Dialog Box appears. - From the left pane, select Advanced.
A table of Control-M/EM system parameters appears. - In the Type column, type general.
All the general Control-M/EM system parameters appear. - Select any general parameter and then click
.
The Control-M/EM - New System Parameter dialog box appears. - Define a new RecentItemsCleanupIntervalMin Control-M/EM system parameter with the following values:
- Type: general
- Name: RecentItemsCleanupIntervalMin
- Value: 0
- Component Type: CMS
- Component Name: *
- Component Host: *
The Control-M/EM - New System Parameter dialog box appears as follows:
- Verify that the RecentItemsCleanupIntervalMin appears in the Control-M/EM system parameters table.
- Recycle the CMS, as described in Recycling a Component.
