Control-M/EM and Control-M/Server Continuity During Oracle Database Failovers

Control-M/EM 9.0.22 and Control-M/Server 9.0.22 now support automatic continuity in case of an Oracle database failover with database replication, such as Data Guard.

If you want to enable automatic continuity, you must configure the tnsnames.ora configuration file with the primary and secondary database addresses, as described in Configuring Control-M/EM and Control-M/Server Continuity during an Oracle Failover. 

You no longer need to manually run the Control-M/Server restore_host_config utility and the Control-M/EM em-config-db utility when there is a Oracle database failover.
