Obtaining Installation Files for Control-D Products

This procedure describes how to obtain installation files for Control-D products through EPD.

Begin

1. Create a temporary directory where to save downloaded files.

2. Click http://www.bmc.com/available/epd and follow the instructions on the EPD site until you reach the Download Files page for the relevant product.
   The following table provides direct links to EPD download pages for Control-D products:

   Control-D Delivery Server	Control-D Delivery Server 9.0.21 download page
   Control-D/Agent	Control-D/Agent for UNIX 9.0.21 download page  Control-D/Agent for Windows 9.0.21 download page

3. On the Products tab, click the relevant installation file and save it in the temporary directory.
   The following table presents the file prefix for each product:

   Control-D Product	File Prefix
   Control-D/WebAccess Server	DRNBO
   Control-D Delivery Server	DRDDS
   Control-D/Agent	DRDAG

4. (UNIX only) Type the following command for the copied installation file to ensure that it has the necessary authorizations:
   chmod +x <installation_file>
5. Depending on the type of file that you downloaded, do one of the following:
   
   • If you downloaded a .tar, .tar.gz, .z, or .zip file, extract the file.
   • If you downloaded a .BIN or .exe file, proceed with the installation process.
   • If you downloaded an .iso file, burn it onto a DVD.
6. Run the setup file.
