End-to-end installation flow

This topic explains the end-to-end process to install the following components and products that are required to use TrueSight Smart Reporting for Server Automation:

  • TrueSight Server Automation: Used as a data source for the reporting data.
  • TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse: Used for storing data that is retrieved from TrueSight Server Automation.
  • TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform: Used for displaying reports based on the data collected by TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse.

Moving from BMC Decision Support for Server Automation

Migration from BMC Decision Support for Server Automation to TrueSight Smart Reporting for Server Automation 21.02 or later is not supported. If you are using BMC Decision Support for Server Automation, you must first migrate to TrueSight Smart Reporting for Server Automation 20.02.01, and then upgrade TrueSight Smart Reporting for Server Automation to 21.02 or later. Step 1: Install and configure TrueSight Server Automation

To install and configure TrueSight Server Automation, do the following:

  1. Plan your installation to make sure that the system requirements are met.
  2. Install the product by using any of these methods:
    • Unified Product Installer
    • Individual component installation
    • Silent installation
  3. Configure the product by performing the post-installation steps.
