Changing the DWAdmin user password
This topic describes how to change passwords for a DWAdmin user and TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse administrator users using NSH.
To change the password of a DWAdmin user, perform the following steps:
- Log in to the system where TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse is installed.
- Navigate to the following directory:
$BDS_HOME/shared/ConfigurationManagement - Run change_password.nsh file with the parameter as DWAdmin user.
- Enter the current password of that user.
- Click Next.
- Specify a new password with valid password requirements. The password length must be at least 8 characters, including at least one lower case, one upper case, one digit, and one special character (allowed characters are @ ^_ - ! : | ~ $ ' ; &).
Restart the web server web service.
- To verify whether the password is changed successfully, log in to the TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse system by using the following URL and the new password:
https://reportsServer:portNumber/tssa-dw- reportsServer is the server that hosts TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse.
- portNumber is the Tomcat web server secure port that you specified during installation.
- Log in to the system where TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform is installed.
- Type the following URL in your browser:
https://<hostname>:port/tsr where hostname is the server where TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform is installed.
- Type the following URL in your browser:
- Log in as TrueSight Server Automation Data Warehouse - Admin with DWAdmin as a user name and the updated password, and click Login.
A message confirming successful password update for the component administrator is displayed.
- Log in as TrueSight Server Automation Data Warehouse - Admin with DWAdmin as a user name and the updated password, and click Login.
