Dashboards for the TrueSight Server Automation Data Warehouse
When you log in to the TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse console as a reporting user, you are directed to TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform that shows the following dashboards: Inventory, Compliance, Patch, Job Activity, and Health. The Health dashboard shows the overall health of the TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse settings, and the other dashboards show the summarized and detailed information for the Inventory, Compliance, Patch and Job Activity domains. You can use this information to understand the overall health and status of these domains. All the reporting users can access and view these dashboards.
Prerequisites
To view the dashboards, do the following:
- Install or upgrade to TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse 20.02.01 or later.
- Enable the dashboards display. For more information, see Post-upgrade tasks.
Analyzing the dashboard information
The dashboards display the following details:
- Inventory Dashboard: Displays the overall summary of server distribution based on the operating system versions, Agent state, and Agent versions
- Compliance Dashboard: Displays the overall compliance percentage of the servers against policies
- Patch Dashboard: Displays the overall patch compliance percentage of the servers according to operating systems
- Job Activity Dashboard: Displays the status of jobs that are run in your environment.
- Health Dashboard: Displays information about the TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse configuration settings and their health.
The dashboards contain reports that include the following icons. You can use them for the following purposes:

You can customize the dashboards by adding additional dashboard tabs. For more information, see Creating-dashboard-tabs.
Inventory Dashboard
This is the default dashboard that is displayed after you are redirected to the TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform from the TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse console. The dashboard provides information about the distribution of servers based on OS versions, Agent state, and Agent versions. It also provides the total number of enrolled servers and a summary of server distribution according to operating system.
The dashboard contains the following reports: Summary by OS versions, Summary by Availability, and Summary by Agent versions
Summary by OS versions
This report displays the total enrolled servers and their distribution according to operating systems.
OS version details
Summary by OS version bar charts
Key characteristics:
- Total Servers - Shows the number of servers that are enrolled in the selected TrueSight Server Automation site.
OS bar charts - Provides the summary by operating systems and their versions.
- A separate bar chart is displayed for each operating system. Color codes on bar charts represent the server distribution according to operating system versions.
- Hover your mouse over an operating system bar to view the number of servers according to versions and total servers that use the operating system.
- Click a bar chart to view the following additional details for each operating system version:
- Server details that include host name, IP address, and server creation and modification dates
- State and version of the Agent installed on the servers
- Grand total that displays the total number of servers that use the operating system
Summary by Availability
This report shows the server availability based on these Agent states: Live, not installed, not licensed, not reachable

Key characteristics:
- A separate bar chart is displayed for each Agent state. You can analyze these charts to understand the state of Agents in your environment.
- Hover your mouse over a bar chart to view the number of servers with that Agent state.
- Click a bar chart to view the following additional details for the Agent state:
- Server details that include host name, IP address, and server creation and modification dates
- Agent state and version
- Operating system name and version
Summary by Agent versions
This report shows the summary of server distribution based on the Agent versions.

Agent version pie chart
Key characteristics:
- Each slice of a pie chart represents an Agent version.
- The dark color represents the latest Agent version and light colors represent the old Agent versions.
- Hover your mouse over a slice of the chart to view the count of servers with that Agent version.
- Click a slice of the pie chart to view the following additional details for the Agent version:
- Server details that include host name, IP address, and server creation and modification dates
- Operating system name and version
Compliance Dashboard
The Compliance Dashboard provides information about the compliance status of servers in your environment. It shows the % compliance details for the servers that are processed against the multiple templates or policies.
This dashboard shows the following reports: Compliance Trend by OS, Compliance Coverage by OS, and Compliance by Policies (Top 10)
Compliance Trend by OS
This report shows the daily percentage compliance trend for the available operating systems based on the number of servers analyzed against multiple templates and policies.

Key characteristics:
- A trend line is displayed for each operating system.
- Drag the slider to change the duration of the trend. The dates are displayed while dragging the slider to help you select the required duration. The trend is updated accordingly.
- Hover your mouse over a day to view the compliance summary by operating system for that day.
- Click a day on a trend line to view the detailed compliance report for the operating system. The report shows the details of analyzed servers, operating system versions, rules, templates, and compliance percentage.

Key characteristics:
- A bar chart is displayed for each operating system.
- Hover your mouse over an OS bar chart to view the following details: enrolled servers, compliant servers, analyzed servers, and compliance percentage
Click an OS bar chart to view the detailed information about the analyzed servers, used templates, rules, and compliance percentage.
- Include or exclude the details of enrolled servers, analyzed servers, and compliant servers from the charts by using the check boxes below the charts. By default, details of all the servers are displayed. Select or clear the check boxes and click
to update the charts.
Compliance by Policies (Top 10)
This report shows the compliance summary for the top 10 policies based on the maximum number of analyzed servers. The summary includes the total number of compliant and non-compliant servers.

- A bar chart is displayed for each policy.
- Hover your mouse over a bar chart to view the percentage of compliant and non-compliant servers for that policy.
- The orange trend line shows the maximum number of servers that are analyzed against the policies.
- Click a policy value on the orange trend line to view the detailed information for the policy about the analyzed servers, rules, and compliance percentage.
Patch Dashboard
The Patch Dashboard provides information about the patching activities performed in your environment. The dashboard helps you to understand the server compliance for vendor patches.
This dashboard shows the following reports: Patch Trend by OS, Patch Coverage by OS, and Patch Compliance by Policies (Top 10)
Patch Trend by OS
This report shows the daily trend of patch compliance percentage for the available operating systems based on the analyzed servers against patch policies.

Key characteristics:
- A trend line is displayed for each operating system.
- Move the slider to change the duration of the trend. The dates are displayed while moving the slider to help you select the required duration. The trend is updated according to the selected duration.
- Hover your mouse over a day value below the trend lines to view the patch compliance percentage for all the operating systems for that day.
- Hover your mouse over a day value on a trend line to view the patch compliance percentage for the operating system.
- Click a day value on an OS trend line to view the details of patch compliance for the operating system. The details include the analyzed server names, policy names, job start date, patch counts, and patch compliance.

Key characteristics:
- A bar chart is displayed for each operating system. It provides the overall summary of enrolled servers, patched servers, and patch compliant servers.
- Hover your mouse over a bar chart to view the number of enrolled servers, patched servers, patch compliant servers, and compliance percentage.
- Click a bar chart to view the detailed patch report for the operating system. The details include the server names, patch policy names, job start dates, patch counts, and patch compliance percentage.
- Include or exclude the details of enrolled servers, patched servers, and compliant servers from the charts by using the check boxes below the charts. By default, details of all the servers are displayed. Select or clear the check boxes and click to update the charts.
Patch Compliance by Policies (Top 10)
This reports shows the patch compliance summary for the top 10 patch policies based on the maximum number of analyzed servers.

- Hover your mouse over a bar chart to view the percentage of compliant and non-compliant servers for that policy.

- Hover your mouse over a policy value on the orange trend line to view the number of servers that are checked for compliance against the policy.
- Click a policy value on the orange trend line to view the following details: server names, patch counts, and patch compliance percentage
