Retrieving deleted reports and views

When a view or report gets corrupted or deleted, you can retrieve them. Do the following:

  1. Install the Content Pack.
  2. Import the latest content in TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform.

The Content Pack includes only the out-of-the-box reports and views. When you import the latest content of your component in TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform, the existing out-of-the box reporting content is replaced by the latest content. The customized reports are not replaced, and remain unchanged.

To install the Content Pack

  1. Log in to the host computer on which you want to install the Content Pack, and delete all the files from the temporary directory:
    • (Windows%temp%
    • (Linux/tmp
  2. On the host computer, ensure that you have administrator privileges and TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse is installed.
  3. Download and extract the Content Pack installer zip files (TSSA-DW-ContentPackInstaller-<versionNo>.zip) to a temporary location outside the following location to avoid any file sharing conflicts:
    • (Windows)C:\Program Files
    • (Linux) /opt
  4. Navigate to the extracted folder, and execute the ContentPackInstaller.nsh script using the following command in cmd or shell terminal:

    nsh ContentPackInstaller.nsh

The following snippet shows an example of a sample output:

      [root@vl-pun-bsa-xxx Content]# nsh ContentPackInstaller.nsh
