Accessing the TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse console
This topic provides an overview of the TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse console and describes how to access the console on Windows and UNIX.
Overview of the console
After you have installed TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse, ensure that you have configured the following databases and repositories by using the console:
- Reports data warehouse
- ETL master repository
- ETL work repository
- TrueSight Server Automation database
After you configured TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse once, you can modify all the preceding entities by using the console. In addition, the console enables you to perform the following tasks:
- Add and modify TrueSight Server Automation sites
- View the ETL run status and scenarios
- Archive and restore the reports data warehouse data
- Change password
- Re-configure database
The console uses Simple Authentication as the authentication method.
As a TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse Administrator (DWAdmin user), ensure that you meet the Browser-requirements before you access the console.
To access the console
- To view the home page for the console on Microsoft Windows or UNIX systems, click Start > Programs > TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse > Console.
Alternatively, you can enter the following address into a web browser:
https://reportsServer:portNumber/tssa-dw- reportsServer is the server that hosts TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse.
- portNumber is the Tomcat web server secure port that you specified during installation.
In User Name, enter DWAdmin .
In Password, enter the password for the DWAdmin user ID that you created during installation. By default, the password is hidden. To view the password, click
.
- In Site, select a site. The Primary Site is the default site.
- In Authentication Method, select a authentication method. SRP is the default authentication method.
- Click LOG IN.
To log out of the console
Use one of the following procedures to log out of the TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse console:
- Click Logout in the top area of the console.
The current connection closes and TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse displays a link to log on again. - Close the browser window associated with TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse. The connection to TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse terminates.
