Diagnose agent issues

Diagnose agent communication failures by using the new AGENT_STATUS_REASON property. When the agent status is "agent is not responding", this property displays the reason behind the agent failure, reducing downtime, and effort during troubleshooting. This feature supports both RSCD agents and smart agents.

For more information, see Diagnosing agent issues.

TrueSight Server Automation supports the following platforms:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.x x86_64 (Unified Product Installer, Application Server or PXE/TFTP server, RSCD Agent, NSH, Console, Patch, Provisioning, Guest OS, Smart Hub, Smart Agent, Native installers)
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.x pSeries (ppc64le) (RSCD agent, NSH)

For the complete list of supported platforms, see Supported platforms.

Enhanced user experience with the unified dashboards

TrueSight Server Automation provides a unified, real-time web-based interface for various dashboards. The interface, which contains the Infrastructure Overview, Operations Overview, and Live Report dashboards, simplifies monitoring and decision-making. By bringing together key operational views into a single, web-based interface, it provides centralized visibility into the health and status of the TrueSight Server Automation infrastructure components, TrueSight Server Automation database, and job operations, eliminating the need to navigate multiple consoles or run manual reports.

This unification enhances efficiency by eliminating repetitive tasks, such as reinstalling Live Reporting during upgrades, and supports proactive monitoring, enabling faster response to issues, reduced downtime, and improved overall service reliability.

In addition, the unified interface provides the following insights:

  • Agent distribution: Real-time agent distribution and version tracking (Operations Overview dashboard > Database tab)
  • CPU utilization: Continuous monitoring of usage and performance trends (Operations Overview dashboard > Database tab)
  • Database session analysis: Detailed insights into active and historical sessions for improved troubleshooting. (Operations Overview dashboard > Database tab)
  • Memory utilization: Instant visibility into system memory consumption (Operations Overview dashboard > System tab)

Offline database cleanup support for new job types

The offline database cleanup utility automatically cleans up obsolete records for the ACL Push and USP Job modules, enhancing its ability to maintain database hygiene and cover a broader range of job types.

For more information, see Running the offline database cleanup utility.

  • REST: Triggered through REST or RESTful API
  • WS: Triggered through SOAP Web Services
  • CLI: Triggered from BLCLI

This enhancement simplifies troubleshooting and auditing.
