Diagnosing agent issues
The RSCD Agent and Smart Agent run on every server managed by TrueSight Server Automation and help the Application Server perform operations on those servers.
Sometimes, if the agent stops working due to an issue, the AGENT_STATUS property displays the following message: 'Agent not responding.
The AGENT_STATUS_REASON server property helps you further diagnose the issue and decide the corrective actions. The property displays one of the following reasons when the agent does not respond:
- Login not allowed for user
- No authorization to access host
- Error in TLS protocol
- Connection refused
- Connection timed out
- Agent is not running
- SOCKS Connection refused
- SOCKS Connection timed out
- SOCKS Host is down
- SOCKS No route to host
- SOCKS server reports general failure
- SOCKS server reports connection not allowed by ruleset
- SOCKS server reports network unreachable
- SOCKS server reports host unreachable
- SOCKS server reports connection refused
- SOCKS server reports TTL expired
- SOCKS server reports Command not supported
- SOCKS server reports address type not supported

The Update Server Properties Job updates both the properties, AGENT_STATUS and AGENT_STATUS_REASON.
