Configuring Reports for Vendor Patch Content

If you want to use TrueSight Smart Reporting for Server Automation to display the patch analysis data generated by Vendor Patch Content, you need to configure the reports in Vendor Patch Content.

For more information about these reports, see CentOS-and-HP-UX-patch-analysis-reports.

To configure reports in Vendor Patch Content

  1. On the Vendor Patch Content Installation Menu, type 4 (Configure Reports) and press Enter.
The installer returns the current reports configuration and asks if you want to configure the reports server.
  2. Enter y.
  3. At the prompt, enter the Network Shell Script path to the directory on the reports server where TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse is installed.

The host name is a mandatory part of the NSH path and cannot be replaced by a slash. The path you enter is case sensitive and you must have read/write permission for the directory. Use the following format:
    • (Microsoft Windows) //hostname/c/Program Files/BMC Software/BladeLogic/TSSADW
    • (Linux) //hostname/opt/bmc/bladelogic/TSSADW
  4. Enter the Site Name for an TrueSight Server Automation database.
The installer connects to the database and returns information about the database.
  5. To return to the TrueSight Server Automation Installation Menu, press Enter.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
