Content editors
TrueSight Server Automation integrates multiple editors to provide you with access to files based on the file type.
The system supports the following content editors:
- BL Editor — A Text and XML editor that supports different encoding methods as well as standard text editing capabilities. For more information, see Viewing-and-editing-text-files-using-BL-Editor.
- Default — A default editor that can be modfied using the Window > Preferences > Editors menu to specify a default editor (for more information about setting preferences, see Customizing-preferences).
- ShellEd — A third-party Shell Script editor that supports opening, editing, and saving Network Shell Script files. For more information, see Viewing and editing Network Shell script files using ShellEd.
- Tail -f — A read-only editor that lets you dynamically monitor the most recent additions to a log file. For more information, see Viewing-files-using-a-tail-f-editor.
- Other — A window that displays all editors available on your system. If the editor you select is not appropriate for the object, the system generates an error message.
