Rules within the template

The following are the details of the 363 rules provided in the zip package. It contains the following types of rules:

  • Rules that check for compliance(audit) and provides remediation: 281
  • Rules that check for compliance(audit) but do not provide remediation: 75
  • Rules that do not check for compliance and do not provide remediation: 7

The following are the details of the rules that are divided into parts:

  • Rules not divided into parts = 261
  • Rules divided into two parts (33 Rules) so (33* 2) = 66
  • Rules divided into three parts (7 Rules) so (7* 3) = 21
  • Rules divided into four parts (1 Rule) so (1* 4) = 4
  • Rules divided into five parts (1 Rule) so (1* 5) = 5
  • Rules divided into six parts (1 Rules) so (1* 6) = 6

So, the current rule count according to CIS Red Hat Enterprise 9 template after running the compliance job is 363 (261+ 66+21+4+5+6).
