Creating an authorization profile
An authorization profile is a group of system and command authorizations.
Authorization profiles provide an easy way to assign complex sets of system and command authorizations. For example, you could set up authorization profiles that grant authorizations to read all objects or to execute all jobs.
You can use authorization profiles in the following contexts:
- Defining authorizations for roles (see Creating-roles).
- Granting permissions to individual system objects (see Defining-permissions-for-a-system-object).
- Specifying authorizations in an access control list (ACL) template (see Creating-an-ACL-template).
- Assigning authorizations to an ACL profile (see Creating-an-ACL-policy).
You can use the following procedure to create an authorization profile.
Alternatively, you can copy and paste an existing authorization profile and then modify the properties of the copied profile. See Modifying-authorization-profiles.
