An existing Application Server installed in your environment can be used for this configuration. In that case, skip the instructions in this note and continue with the remaining instructions on this page.
Starting version 22.2, support for the TrueSight Server Automation Console (RCP Client) has been discontinued for the Linux platform.
To continue using TrueSight Orchestration, use the Linux Application Server installer to install only the required components (Application Server and Network Shell). The standalone NSH installer does not provide BLCLI and cannot be used for the integration. Note that you should not configure the Application Server or start the Application Server service. You should also disable the Application Server service after installation as the only components needed for the integration are NSH and BLCLI.
Perform the following steps:
- Install the Application Server (Only perform Step 5: Install the Application Server).
- Select the 2 - Application Server and 3 - Network Shell individual components in the installation script.
Select n when prompted to configure the Application Server, as shown below:

Starting the Post-Installation Wizard
Your DISPLAY variable is not set. The Post-Installation Wizard
is a java-based application that requires the DISPLAY variable to
be set.
Do you wish to set your DISPLAY and configure the Application Server (y/n) ? n
Disable Application Server service auto startup using the following code:
systemctl disable blappserv.service
The Change Automation Configuration wizard enables you to configure the newest Change Automation solution. After you perform configuration for the updated Change Automation solution, you cannot revert to the older version of Continuous Compliance offered in earlier versions of TrueSight Server Automation.
In the AO Configuration Status panel, the wizard displays the progress and results of the following actions:
- Configuration of adapters for incorporation of all configuration details (that pertain to TrueSight Server Automation, TrueSight Orchestration, and BMC Remedy ITSM) into the TrueSight Orchestration database.
- Testing end-to-end connectivity between the BMC products involved in Change Automation.
If issues are encountered, you can obtain details by clicking each of the Details
buttons. This opens Details dialog boxes with further information about each action.
After the connection is successfully established, click Finish.
Note
If a connection is successfully established with the primary AO instance, but errors are encountered in the connection with a secondary AO instance, you can still complete the setup. A message appears, asking you if you want to proceed with the setup using the details of the primary instance and skipping the setup of the secondary instance.
