Executing the patch analysis job

After you have finished preparing the Network Shell Script job for patch analysis, you can execute the job at any time.

Note

For best results, BMC Software recommends that the patch administrator run the Network Shell Script job twice to perform patch analysis separately from packaging and deployment actions.

To execute the patch analysis job

  1. Locate and open the Network Shell Script job that you prepared for patch analysis.
  2. In the TrueSight Server Automation Console Job folder, right-click the job and select Execute.

While processing, the job appears in the Tasks in Progress pane. All runs of the job are displayed beneath the job in the Jobs folder. To review the processing log for a job run, right-click the job run and select Show Log (or, if you want to save a copy, select Export Log).
