Changing data in the configuration file

Configuration information for Vendor Patch Content is stored in a special Configuration file. Before installing Vendor Patch Content, you must review the configuration settings in this file and make changes to configuration information as necessary.

To change data in the configuration file

  1. Change the working directory to the patch subdirectory and use a text editor to open the configuration file, install.conf.
  2. Enter information for the following parameters:

    Parameter

    Note

If the Job or Depot folder is renamed, the value for the corresponding parameter needs to be changed here in the configuration file as well. For more information, see  Actions-to-take-when-renaming-the-job-or-depot-folder.

  3. Save and close the configuration file.
