Configuring the Auto USP feature
The Auto USP feature of the Smart Agent is used to fetch server properties and update them in the Application Server automatically. This feature is enabled by default. You can configure the following settings of this feature:
- Update the interval at which server properties are computed
- Disable the feature
To configure these settings before installing the RSCD Agent, do the following:
- Log in to the system where you want to install the RSCD Agent.
Update values of the following properties:
- To change the interval at which the Smart Agent computes server properties, specify a new value for the AUTO_USP_INTERVAL_H property.
- To disable the Auto USP feature, change the value for the AUTO_USP_ENABLED property to false.

To configure these settings after installing the RSCD Agent, do the following:
- Log in to the system where the Agent is installed.
- Navigate to the following path:
- (Windows) c:\windows\rsc
- (Linux) /etc/rsc
- Open the smartagent.conf file.
- Update these properties:
- To change the interval at which the Smart Agent computes server properties, specify a new value for the AUTO_USP_INTERVAL_H property.
- To disable the Auto USP feature, change the value for the AUTO_USP_ENABLED property to false.
- Restart the Smart Agent service.
