Upgrading the Network Shell on Windows
This topic provides instructions for upgrading an installation of the Network Shell on Microsoft Windows.
If you installed the Network Shell as part of a Application Server or TrueSight Server Automation Console installation, upgrading that installation automatically upgrades the Network Shell.
You can also use silent mode to upgrade a Network Shell installation. For information, see Using-silent-mode-to-upgrade-the-Network-Shell-Windows.
Before you begin
To perform this installation, you must have local Administrator privileges.
Ensure that Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Update 3 is installed on the server. For more information, see Installing-the-RSCD-agent-Windows.
To upgrade the Network Shell
Navigate to the directory that contains the installation files for the Network Shell and run the installation program. The Installation program names follow the convention: NSH<version>-<platform>.
- At the Setup Type window, select Upgrade and then click Next.
- To complete the upgrade to your installation, click Finish.
