Server decommissioning
When you decommission a server on the Application Server, the Smart Agent that is installed on the server is notified so that it stops sending any further work requests.
The following events are triggered after you decommission the server:
- The Application Server sends a decommission request to the Smart Hub.
- The Smart Hub, which maintains a list of enrolled servers, removes the server name from the list.
When a heartbeat request is received from the Smart Agent that is installed on the decommissioned server, the Smart Hub notifies the Smart Agent that the server is decommissioned with the following error code:
"status": "failure",
"error" : "<server name> server decommissioned",
"error_code": "SA-1004"- The Smart Agent updates the enrollment ID in the agent configuration to mark the server as decommissioned.
