Browsing Hyper-V virtual machines

You can browse a Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) server to review a variety of server objects (such as cluster, host and configuration information) related to the Hyper-V virtual environment.

To browse a VMM server

Prior to browsing Hyper-V virtual assets, you must have distributed the Hyperv configuration object to the VMM server running the Windows x64 agent, as described in Distributing-configuration-objects.

  1. In the Servers folder, navigate to a VMM server.
  2. Right-click the server and select Browse.
  3. In the Live Browse tab or the content editor, expand the Live node.
  4. Expand the Microsoft VMM server object type to display the nodes.
The following table describes the structure of the Microsoft VMM server object type. The [confluence_table-plus] macro is a standalone macro and it cannot be used inline. Click on this message for details.
