Setting the job polling interval

Use this procedure to set the frequency (in seconds) that the TrueSight Server Automation Consoles poll the Application Server for job run information. This setting is applied to any console that communicates with the Application Server, unless an overriding value was set through the console.

Note

Through the Preferences dialog box at any TrueSight Server Automation Console, you can override the Application Server setting with a job polling interval setting for the specific console, or you can restore the default value, that is, the value set on the Application Server.

To set the job polling interval

  1. Start the Application Server Administration console, as described in Starting-the-Application-Server-Administration-console.
  2. To set the job polling interval, enter:
    set ConfigManagerUI ConsoleTaskPollingInterval #
    where # is the frequency, in seconds, for the TrueSight Server Automation Consoles to poll the Application Server for job run information. The range is 5–300 seconds. By default, this option is set to 30 seconds.
  3. Restart the Application Server.
