Changing the order of rule evaluation

To determine which server to use for interaction with a target server, the Application Server evaluates each request against the list of routing rules. The order of rules on the list determines the order of evaluation. You can change the order of rules in the Rules Management window.

To change the order of rule evaluation

1. Select Configuration > Infrastructure Management.
2. In the left pane of the Infrastructure Management window, right-click the node for the routing rules that you want to reorder — Network Routing Rules, Repeater Routing Rules, Job Execution Rules, or Remote Host Authentication Routing Rules. Then select Rules Management from the pop-up menu.
3. On the Rules tab, select the rule you want to re-position and use the Move Up ,Move Down , Move to Top , and Move to Bottom icons. (The rule at the top of the list is evaluated first.)
4. Click OK.
