Downloading an ISO image to vFlash

You can download an ISO image file from a data store to the vFlash firmware of an iDRAC device.

Downloading the ISO image file to vFlash lets you boot the iDRAC device locally during the provisioning process.

Before you begin

This option requires iDRAC6 Enterprise with vFlash and Firmware 1.3.

To download an ISO image to vFlash

  1. From Devices folder, select the device.
  2. Right-click and select Stage ISO to vFlash.
  3. On the dialog, select the data store where the ISO is stored. Then select the .iso file.
  4. Click OK.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
