Populating the latest Technology Levels and Service Packs on AIX Catalog filters

Use the following procedure to populate the latest Technology Levels and Service Packs at AIX Catalog filters.

To populate the latest Technology Levels and Service Packs on AIX Catalog filters

  1. Copy the Offline Patch Downloader, extract it, and execute the following command: 

    aix_downloader.sh -configFile "sample-downloader-config-files/sample-aix-downloader-config.xml"
    -generateUpdateList "updateListfileName.xml"

  2. Navigate to the updateListfileName.xml file that contains the latest updates for AIX. 

    Note

    The updateListfileName.xml file is generated by downloading the Updates list for AIX.

  3. Add the updateListfileName.xml file to the Depot workspace.
  4. Select Patch Global Configuration from the Configuration menu.
  5. Click the AIX tab.
  6. Add the updateListfileName.xml file to the AIX Update List file field and save it.

After you save the updateListfileName.xml file, you can see the latest Technology Levels and Service Pack information at the AIX Catalog filters.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
