Opening a BLPackage to edit

To edit a BLPackage, you must first open the package.

You can edit multiple BLPackages concurrently. You can also edit a BLPackage when another user is editing that package, but you run the risk of overwriting the other user's changes. The system warns you if another user is also editing a BLPackage.

To open a BLPackage to edit

1. Using the Depot folder, navigate to the depot folder holding the BLPackage you want to edit.
2. Right-click the BLPackage and select Open from the pop-up menu.
   A new tab with the name of the selected BLPackage appears.
   When you open a BLPackage that includes an earlier version of a server object, the system displays a message informing you that the template has been upgraded so it now includes the most recent version of the object. When you save the BLPackage, the upgrade to the new version of the object is finalized.
