Setting the polling cycle for messages

To enable the Application Server to send messages to the RCP clients, you can set a polling cycle for the RCP clients to retrieve messages from the Application Server. Any change in this polling cycle is applied in the next cycle.

  1. Start the Application Server Administration console, as described in Starting-the-Application-Server-Administration-console.
  2. To set the frequency in minutes that the RCP clients poll the Application Server for messages, enter the following:
    set appserver BroadcastMessagesPollingInterval <minutes> 
    The range of values is 0-120 minutes. The default value is 2 minutes.
    If you want to shut down message polling, set a value of 0.
