Maintenance Window Management dialog box


This dialog box lists all defined maintenance windows and enables you to create additional maintenance windows for your servers and to manage all defined maintenance windows. For more about maintenance windows, see Walkthrough-Defining-a-fixed-time-period-for-running-deploy-jobs-or-patching-a-server.

The maintenance windows are listed in a table with the following columns of data about each window:

  • Name
  • Description
  • Frequency — details of when and how often the window occurs
  • Duration — length of time that the window extends
  • Date created — when the window was created
  • User created — who created the window

Through this dialog box you can perform the following actions:

Add a new time window

Click New Maintenance Window addIcon.png.
A 3-step wizard opens, displaying the first panel for General and Schedule settings.

Modify an existing window

Select the window and click Edit Maintenance Window editIcon.png.
The Edit Maintenance Window dialog box opens, displaying the first tab for General and Schedule settings.

Delete an existing window

Select the window and click Remove Maintenance Window deleteIcon.png. Then click Yes in the confirmation message.

Deactivate the window (temporarily)

Select the window and click Deactivate Window deactIcon.png. Then click Yes in the confirmation message.
The status icon in the Name column changes from green greenIcon.png to red redIcon.png.

Re-activate the window

Select the window and click Activate Window actIcon.png. Then click Yes in the confirmation message.
The status icon in the Name column changes from red redIcon.pngback to green greenIcon.png.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
