Properties of the Smart Agent and Smart Hub


The Application Server polls the Smart Hub to process the work requests from Smart Agents. The work requests contain the details of servers to be enrolled and the status of RSCD and Smart Agents. When a server is enrolled in the Application Server automatically, the server is added to the static server group that is configured during the Smart Hub registration.

The Application Server stores this information in the following server properties:

Property

Description

AGENT_STATUS

Displays the current state of the RSCD agent.

AGENT_STATE_CHANGE_TIME

Displays the timestamp when the state of the RSCD agent is changed.

SMART_HUB_NAME

Displays the name of the Smart Hub through which the server is enrolled.

SMART_AGENT_STATUS

Displays one of the following values for the Smart Agent status:

  • smart agent is live
  • smart agent is not responding
  • smart agent is unknown
  • smart agent not installed

SMART_AGENT_STATE_CHANGE_TIME

Displays the timestamp when the state of the Smart Agent is changed.

SMART_AGENT_AUTO_USP_TIMESTAMP

NEW IN 21.02

Displays the timestamp when the server properties sent by the Smart Agent are updated in the Application Server.

AGENT_CONFIG_POLICIES NEW IN 21.02

Displays the Configuration Policies that are mapped to the server. If no Configuration Policy is mapped, the property value is blank. If more than one Configuration Policies are mapped, these additional policies are called conflicting policies. A comma-separated list of these conflicting policies is displayed with the prefix string "CONFLICT" added to each conflicting policy.


On the TrueSight Server Automation console, you can view these server properties to know the current state of the RSCD agent and Smart Agent.
